Still in Tucson

Thanks for visiting my blog. My departure date hasn't yet been firmed up, but I do know my destination: Kitwe, Zambia, the second largest city, located in the copperbelt region. Look directly north from Lusaka, close to the southern border of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. There I will work with the Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation, an educational and leadership training institution. I expect to be there by early February, so watch for more news!

  1. For those interested in an interactive map that provides satellite images as well, here's a link to Google Maps for Kitwe. You can zoom in and out, view terrain, maping or satellite imagery, and see the location's proximity to other African cities and countries by moving away from or closer to the center point.

  3. Ann, this is so exciting. I hope you have a wonderful, fulfilling (and safe) and enriching experience. I wanted to tell you that I passed along your blogspot information to our former MSW student, Maureen MacDonald, who was here today for the NASW workshop and was asking about you. She will be following your journey, as well.
